Technical problems 2002 JGC 2,7 CRD. Have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD that would not start / no reaction when the ignition key is turned and has zero impact on the lights and instruments that are all dead no - reaction. All fuses checked OK battery has standby voltage of 12.6 volts.

The fuel filter has been replaced with new o rings fitted. Since the jeep has started without any problems. There is no air in the fuel lines at all. Glow plugs have been change for new ones which were tested. Bosch I have bled the fuel system when trying to start but to no avail. The fuel pumps out when cranking no air is escaping just fuel.

The black plug pushes / pulls out 1 or 2 mm but ive pulled, twisted, squeezed for an hour - but I cant get it off / open - and I dont want to break it.. Ive searched for vids / info but no one seems to specifically say how it comes off. The FSM just says "Press locking ring at bleeder valve in direction of arrow and pull off seal."

The BCM translates the signal to a digital format to talk to the radio over a communications bus. Without a "translator" between the BCM and the radio, they wont understand each other.
After further investigation, I now understand the fule sytems of the 2.7l CRD. It looks like a past owner of my latest aqquisition was having problems perhaps with bleeding the fuel system post filter changes etc and decided to fit an electric pump in series with the fuel delivery plumbing before the filter.
