I dont think spending more on the GPU makes sense, considerding current pricing. But if the game is really CPU-heavy i might want to get a 5800x instead. (assuming it reduces loading times and such). And maybe a RTX3050 is overkill for CK3, i dont know. CK3 isnt exactly the game people benchmark so its a bit harder to get info on whats worth it.
(Higher RAM, decent CPU and Graphics card). If you only plan to play strategy games like CK, Vic, Civ, the graphics card won't need to be a monster. If you plan to play graphic intensive 3D-shooters, you have to invest more of course. Yours is more customized for office work, lower multimedia (like streaming) and lower quality or older games. < >
Just got the game. I'm using an RTX 2070 laptop. On games that uses a lot graphic power, the laptop runs fine because those kind of games usually doesn't use a lot of CPU power, so even if the GPU heats up, the ambient temperature still okay. CK3 however, even with default settings, both GPU and CPU runs hot and it melts my laptop xD. Crusader Kings 3 is now out! Go play it cos it's good!Buy the game from my store at
Looking this up the integrated GPU is from 2012 and the min spec AMD 7870 desktop graphics card is from the same year. Normally you can expect integrated GPUs to be not only slower but a year or two behind in things it can actually do so yes you are well under spec and most likely lucky it was even able to start up in the first place.
Intel Mesa Intel UHD 620 (KBL GT2) Intel Core i5-8250U @ 1.60GHz. This game uses a lot of RAM. When I had only 16GB of RAM, the game would frequently cause me to run out of memory (causing frequent crashes). However, creating a 32GB swapfile fixed this problem entirely, and with 32GB of RAM it's a non-issue. sC5DzJ.
